A new way to document and share

Over the years I've worked on my genealogy on and off, going in spurts like many I know do.   Some days I get really excited by a new factoid I've discovered and have gone nuts hunting everything down for weeks, experiencing the inevitable burnout and taking a break.

A few years ago I moved a thousand miles to a new job and a new life, and now I have to reorganize and find everything again.   I wanted some way to document genealogical stuff found, even maybe how they were found, but more importantly to share it with others, and thus, this blog is born.

I think what attracted me to the blog is that anyone can access it (no subscriptions to other services required),  information and items can be easily added, and tagging items so that they could be found seems rather appealing.

I don't anticipate any real progress on my end soon - there is too much going on, but since I thought about it, I wanted to at least get a placeholder in.   In the not-too-distant future, I hope to have information up on this blog to share with others, and maybe even convince relatives to join in so we can all share our information with regards to our ancestry and heritage.
